wedding song could be the death of the wedding!

UGH! i'm so frustrated. my fi and i don't have 'a song', so we're trying to agree on one together. so he plays me a song from his i tunes (usually something nuts like 'lets get it on'), and i'm like.....nooooo,

and 2 seconds into the song i play for him he says NO!

we compromise on everything, thats what i love about this relationship...so why cant we find a song we can agree on?!?!?!

anyone else having this problem?

We are having sooo much trouble with this too. We are sort of music snobs hahaha. We need it to be PERFECT! Every song we think could be, we think we could find something better.

Only just this weekend did we figure out our first dance song and the song we'll exit the ceremony to.

We're both music buffs...between us, about 1,000 CDs and my vinyl collection alone would make Bleeker Bob blush. However, we didn't approach it as an assignment. We were in the car and a song came on (I'm sorry, but I'm not saying the songs we chose because I reeeeaaaaaally don't want someone to copy me - not saying you will, but all of this is public) and we were like, 'THIS IS IT!!!!!' for our ceremony exit. It happened completely organically.

A day later, we were cooking and I suggested a song (again...I had suggested it like three times already) and he wasn't digging it. We looked through all of the band's CD's and realized that this *other* song was perfect.

So don't make it a mission. Keep your iPod on 'shuffle'; you never know what will pop up next.

This is how we came upon our first dance song...we were listening to one of the bands we agree upon as awesome and the song came on and I said 'Hey...how about this??' and he said '...yeah, this is it!!'

Sounds like a good idea. You sound like us. We have hundreds of records, and thousands of songs on our IPODs. HUGE music buffs. We haven't been fighting about a song, but it's just hard. I think we will have that moment like you guys did one day while listening to our IPODs. Hope it's soooooooon!

One of them was a song neither of us had suggested, but was on a cd fi had made for me when we started dating,
So I emailed him the lyrics, and he said OK! So our song is........(Drumroll please)

awww such a great song!! That is my fav u2 song!

We have had 'our song' since our first date (into the mystic), but we are doing our last dance to Mozella-Can't stop.

I will try to post a link to You tube, but anyone having trouble figuring out a song, this is BEAUTIFUL!!!! (well at least I think so...) And guaranteed noone has ever heard it at a wedding before!!!!Song

Wow, I love this version....I loved the song when Tim Mcgraw sang it, but this is great too!!!!
