Songbird by Eva Cassidy. To me, this is the most beautiful song ever written.

At Last, but we're still not sure if it's going to be the Etta James version or the Beyonce version (the one the Obamas danced to, as FH enjoys pointing out). He's not much of a dancer AT ALL, so for him to actually say I LIKE THIS is a major milestone.

I really like God bless this broken road by Rascal Flatts. I am really leaning towards this song.

She's Got a way by Billy Joel...but now I'm starting to doubt it because it seems very me-centric, which it shouldn't be really, even though FH is the one who picked it so I guess it's ok? I just don't want the guests to roll their eyes and be like typical Ali.
Don't worry about it, it's a great song and its special that FH picked it. I'm in the same boat. My FH picked Eric Clapton- Wonderful Tonight. Kinda geard towards me, but it is totally us. If it works for you, use it.

Ali, that is our song, too. I think I remember you saying you were using a DJ, but...we are using a band so I am going to ask them to mix it up a bit, so at the end, it's all about him...and how 'he's got a way'. I agree...it is a little 'me-centric'...but it should be! After all, it IS all about the bride on her wedding day...the groom isn't as important, lol.

Re: wedding songs
Our first dance was 'Ever the Same' by Rob Thomas. When we chose our song, we really want something meaningful that describes exactly what we love about each other. Rob Thomas is such a beautiful writer, it was a song to his wife Marisol who was really sick at the time and he thought she would possibly die from an illness that she suffers called Autoimmune Disorder.
