Wedding Songs.

Wedding Songs.

My fiance and I don't have an 'our song'.

We want to use something current (within the last 5 years).
Right now I really like 'chasing cars' by snow patrol but I think it may be a little too fast since I can't dance and want to do the 'hug and sway' during our first song. lol

Any suggestions?

What are you using for your song?

We are probably going to use Crash by DMB

You should also listen to Steady as we Go by Dave Matthews Band. Two of my cousins had it as their first dance. It's so sweet.

Our song is 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon. It's just one of those songs that both FI and I say that everytime we hear it we think of each other, so it's perfect for our first dance.

I love all the older classic wedding songs that some of you mention - but for me personally, I've been to a lot of weddings and want to do something different. I just want something not expected I think. Something modern. I don't know I need more suggestions! lol

HEY! I posted this as a suggestion for someone else but I think the remake of Bryan Adams's Heaven done by DJ Sammy (candlelight remix) is absolutely beautiful..I get teary eyed every time I hear it lol

We're most likely going to use Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. It's not as slow as other songs, but FH and I love it!!.

listen to To Make You Feel My Love on Adele's current album. it's a Dylan song, covered in the 90s by Billy Joel and then Garth Brooks....but the Adele one is of course really new, and it's really pretty! everything else we are tossing around is old and stuffy ;)

I totally feel you. That's why, right now anyway, we're using Don Henley's Taking You Home (we don't really have a song either... not an appropriate one anyway)

hahaha I hear you on that! I have some songs that remind me of Jason. Plus I have some songs that we both enjoy. nothing appropriate though for a first song ..or a wedding at all for that matter!

I'm going to have to go through everyone's suggestions tomorrow and download everything to give me some idea.

'Hysteric' by The Yeah Yeah Yeah's is really beautiful and Modern - they have an acoustic version as well that would be more fitting for a wedding song.

Also 'Endlessly' by Muse.

My cousin used Snow Patrol Chasing Cars for her wedding song & it was so nice. At first i thought it may be too fast or whatever but it was beautful.

Ours is Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban.

FutureJOC - I wanted to have Use Somebody by Kings of Leon also but FH is not a fan of their music (shame on him)

OMG I am such a HUGE Muse fan. I didn't even think about them.

Although I'm not sure how my family would feel about that song.

My sister makes fun of their CD that plays my favorites endlessly in my car. And my mom says she thinks they sound depressive.

but hmm it would be perfect for me.
