I went to the post office to get wedding stamps and they aren't getting them in until mid June... (because they changed the postage). I need to send my invites out and I do not want to custom order stamps that cost a ton of money. Is anyone else in this situation??

i got the 41 cent (response) and 58 cent (invite) wedding heart stamps and added the non-matching tiffany lamp 1 Cent penny stamp on each. I sent them out yesterday and some people already got them!!! I am thrilled !!
The envelope goes in the garbage. no stress! what can ya do?!

Re: Wedding Stamps
The new 42 cent stamp is coming out June 10 according to the usps.com web site. Maybe if you pre-order it you will have it on the 10th?

I agree...when life (or the post office) throws you a lemon, make lemonade! If I were in your shoes, I would use the tiffany lamp plus the stamp for the 'old' rate, and for the response I would just use the Liberty Bell.
But that's just me

Re: Wedding Stamps
I didnt get the wedding ones b/c the postage was changing. Not one person realized and really its not that big of a deal. If its going to affect when your invites go out go with flower ones. They are nice too!

I was a bit annoyed at first as well, but you can always vist www.zazzle.com -- i know you said that you didn't want custom order, but that's your only choice. Other than that, no one really pays much attention to the stamp...I had to put forever stamps on my rsvp cards...totally killed the look, but didn't have a choice. :(

i used Zazzle...paid a LITTLE extra - but mine were custom & they were beautiful! i know u can order standard out of their albums and it doesn't cost as much..check out their site!
i promise you - not one person is going to notice your stamps!

Re: Wedding Stamps
I ordered from zazzle.com and they came in about four days!!! They were definitely more expensive but not terribly...if you want to send them out now, I would order them from zazzle rather than wait....JMO though!!

I agree, everyone just wants to see what the invite looks like and months after the wedding they chuck it!
