when you give the names to the RH you give them a floor plan with the numbers that they would have been, (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, ect) and then the names of the what 1 would be and table 2 would be, that what they know. as for the people, sometimes the matre d will be standing at the entrance with a floor plan and ask people if they need help finding their table.

I love the idea of the italian and German names, I also like the idea of doing pictures from when you are dating and all the places you two have been, (i.e. lake tahoe and a picture of you two snowboarding on the mountain or Jones beach and a pic of you two at the beach)

I like the favorite songs idea... except we like Bon Jovi. How do we seat our guests at the 'You Give Love a Bad Name' and 'Bad Medicine' table? lol...

So FH and I looked at this link and discussed it, he feels that names are very confusing cause there are no numbers/order. He knows I like the idea and suggested we go for it but also have numbers. This way we don't have people walking around lost. He also thought it would be annoying to have some old lady you don't know walk over and go 'oooohh how cute can i read your table name, wait my glasses, oh i can't see, can you read it to me' A friend of mine told us a story of an old woman who did that but they thought it was cute he tought it would be annoying.

Would it be weird if I did a name and a number?

I love that website...there are so many great ideas! I am thinking of doing places we traveled to and pictures of us in those places on the cards.

This is exactly what we were going to do.
My fiance lives in florida and I live here in ny. So I figure I'll name each table different cities of those two states...oh and also number so it'll be easy for the guests. I want to do like a long distance relationship theme.
