Wedding Teaser Video Question

Wedding Teaser Video Question

So my photo/video package is great and has everything I want (all of the proofs, tons of prints, a USB, unlimited hours, 2 photogs, etc.), except that I'm starting to think I want one of those preview videos that you can post to FB and stuff.

I e-mailed about it and they said they charge $195 extra to the package for the preview video.. do you think this is alot?? I e-mailed back asking if that price is negotiable, but I wanted some of your opinions. I know most of you had yours included in your video packages, but for those who didn't please let me know if that is a good price or if it's not even worth the extra $$

Wedding Teaser Video Question

When I was looking at videography packages, I've seen it range anywhere from $50 to $200 as an add-on (if it wasn't already included in their packages for free). Our videographer charges $50 for the trailer, but my FH said he can make the trailer himself (we are getting all the raw footage, and FH is good with stuff like this). I think there might be room for negotiation with the $195 price. I definitely wanted a trailer to share with relatives and friends, so it was important to me.

Who is your photo/video vendor? It seems to me that for something that most videographers include (and I met with 25 of them, so I can generalize that lol), $195 is a lot of money. Then again, my photog charges $250 for an eshoot when most other photogs include them in their packages.

It also depends on how much your videographer is charging to begin with. If it's less expensive than average, that is probably why it is extra $.

I'd try to negotiate. I think $100 extra is fair, you're really only paying for the editing time.

I booked with Proline Studios in Franklin Square- and our video package was a decent price (I'll FM you the price). It is now a few hundred more than it was when we booked because we booked during a holiday promotion, so that could be why it doesn't include the teaser idk... I didn't really do a whole lot of research on other photo/video packages because my sister had a $1600 credit through Proline (she cancelled her wedding back in 2005 and they gave us a letter stating we could use the $1600 in the future) that they honored for us. So because of that, we booked photo and video through them and didn't look elsewhere.
