DO YOU WRITE THE GUESTS' NAME OUT INSIDE THE CARD OR DO YOU JUST
WRITE THANK YOU AND SO ON......INSIDE THE CARD????

Re: WEDDING THANK YOU CARDS

i would think you would write the guest's names on the inside of the card with the note. if you write on the outside of the card--kind of takes away from the card, i would think.

I wrote:

Thank you blah blah blah.

So the outside could be Mr and Mrs.
But the inside should be more personal....such as Maria and John Thank you.......?

This is what I plan on doing and putting the Mr and Mrs. part on the envelope that is used for mailing them.

are you talking about the envelope? I didn't write mr. and mrs. on any part of the TY. A TY doesn't have to be formal, I don't call any of these people Mr. and Mrs in real life, why would I on a TY card. On the envelope I worte John and Jane Smith, and in the card I wrote Dear Jon and Jane,

Re: WEDDING THANK YOU CARDS

I always address the outer envelopes of anything I send to Mr. and Mrs. First Last Name or Mr. First Last Name, etc. It's just how I was taught to address envelopes.

On the inside of the card, I address the person however I address them in person. If I call them Mr. and Mrs., then that's how I write it. If I call them Aunt and Uncle, then I write Dear Aunt Peg and Uncle Jim, etc.

Do I date the inside of the card?

Re: WEDDING THANK YOU CARDS

That's a personal preference. I usually put a date, but that's just my preference.

I don't think a date matters!
