Wedding that's more of a party? (For my sister!)

Hi Girls! My twin sister just got engaged. He's already been married and did the big-wedding-thing and she never wanted a traditional wedding since as long as I can remember. So...they are trying to think of things to do (ie. Both immediate families go away for a long weekend to celebrate, just do a big BBQ, etc) that would be festive but nothing like planning a whole formal wedding. So my question is:
A) Does anyone know of a LIW girl that has a review of something like this
B) Does anyone have any ideas to get the ball rolling on planning something? We just need to figure out what the 'something' is first! haha.
TIA!

I went to a wedding a few years ago that the reception was in their backyard. They had a tent put up and a dance floor and it was buffet style and was probably one of the better weddings I'd ever been to. They had a bar w/bartender and a great DJ, great food and it was just a real fun, great wedding. You got to eat a little of everything and not limited to one choice. When I first heard it was in the yard I was very skeptical but it turned out to be a great party. Just a thought!

Best of luck to your sister and her upcoming wedding!

Cool thanks so much! She's trying to figure out a way (like how you mention) where she gets to still celebrate with friends and family but not have it be a really big wedding (not that mine was so big, 95 people, but we had a formal ceremony, CH and Reception..first dance, etc)
