Wedding Theme

Wedding Theme

I am getting married on November 20th and the bride getting married the night before is having all Flowerfields Christmas decortations put up for her wedding. The cocktail hour will be decorated with Christmas, but the main dining room will be up to me as far as decorating. Is it too early to use a Christmas theme throughout the entire day? Should I use an Autumn theme for the church and for centerpieces? Please let me know what you think?

I think either one would be fine. the date is border line between both seasons. I've been to flowerfields in search for halls and I LOVE the way they decorate the pond room - all Christmasy!

Personally, I always think of it as Christmas season after Thanksgiving.

I tend to think of autumn during November - until after Thanksgiving. But you are right on the cusp of the season there so do what you want!!

I still think of fall. But Christmas is right around the corner too. I think you can get away with both. I can't believe they are letting this bride do this. It's sort of not far to the other brides that weekend Welcome fellow Flowerfield bride

Is Flowerfield requiring you to keep the Christmas stuff up?

I think it is too early for a christmas wedding IMO- that is usually an after thanksgiving thing. Again, JMO.

I would not do 2 competing themes though. If you want just use reds- and not really a full blown Christmas theme. Red will compliment the decor of the hall, but not overpower your guests with Christmas stuff. You can do ornaments as favors at that time of year though.
