How are you tying everything in together? From your invites, favors, decor, etc...
While I am currently working on the big stuff (vendors), I really want to get to the good DIY stuff! I feel like I need a theme to be able to do so.

I orginally wasn't planning on a theme but recently I decided to have a peacock theme. Im not going crazy with it but there will be touches here and there. My BM will be wearing a peacock pin on their dresses and I plan to have a pin on my shoes. Will have some feathers in my bouquet and in CPs. I also want to tie it in with the paper items... invitations, place cards, menus.
You dont need to have a theme unless u want 1 of course. Everything can come together with the colors u choose for your wedding.

We wanted to do our birthstones which is Amethyst and Diamonds but that was getting hard to accomplish price wise. So we are doing shades of purple with champagne colored tablecloths and crystal centerpieces. Not so much a theme anymore, just colors I thought looked good together.

We are.
It's been termed a Modern twist on Medieval. My FH and I are both into Renaissance fairs, historical reinactment, etc.
We plan on tying it together with all paper goods done on parchment, wax seals on invites, tables named after legendary and mythological castles/kingdoms, one of our favors will be little mini-flags that say 'Huzzah' instead of Yay.
There will be multiple other touches we've thought out - including using both of our family crests.

Lots of us are having purple! I was having this issue too because I like peacock feathers and wanted to put a couple in my hair but didn't want to go all out with the theme since I basically picked out invitations that I love already (and they aren't peacock) I think sticking with shades of purple is probably what I'm doing.

This is great! I really wish I had any friends to invite me to a wedding like this haha I'd love it!!

All of us 'purple' girls should stay in touch, so we can exchange any and all ideas. My original color was latte, until I decided on a peacock theme and then changed everything..lol

There really are a lot of us using purple! It will be nice to see how everyone incorporates it into their wedding.
I knew from the start I wanted purple but I was unsure of accent colors. I was originally going to go with either green or orange and fucshia but then I decided on the peacock theme so now Im incorporating the teels and blues.

I looove purple! Lavender is really my favorite color and flower, but we'll see how the dresses look in various shades. I even thought about going gray-ish if I don't like the dark purple. I don't know where to look for BM dresses though! I don't want the girls to spend too much

I dont want my girls to spend a lot either. I really want to keep it at $150 or less. I know my 1st stop will be Davids Bridal for them. Hopefully the only stop lol
