I am getting married in Sept and going back and forth on my theme. I really like the white and blue (wintery look) and i also like the brown tones (fall look) I really love the wintery look but dont know if it is the right time for that theme..
What themes are you all having?

I don't have a theme either and I'm getting married in september too. I think you can do whatever you want! I like the brown tones fall feel. But I may do more summer feel. I think I might have vineyard feel to our centerpieces because our chairs are like that design and then I won't need chair covers.

Re: Wedding Themes
I'm struggling with this too. I'm all over the place.
My dress I THINK is formal. Ivory with Latte in color My bridesmaid dresses are short which I guess kind of makes it informal and blush in color. FI is british and wants a traditional morning suit - black with gray/bluish waist coat as the 'buff' color which might've match my dress is toooo mustardy in color, he just said it's gross, and I'm not a fan either. Father wants an american tux. Reception is at a Vineyard and kind of mediterranean or tuscan in looks I think and a bit dark, well wooded and tiled inside.
So, I'm struggling since I dont know where I want to go with this, formal or rustic or what... So confusing. Can I do a rustic formal? Does that exist? lol I want both! Maybe I should have 2 weddings. LOL

Re: Wedding Themes
I'm getting married in the winter and my colors are midnight blue, white and silver. If you really like the winter colors it doesn't matter that you are getting married in the fall...you can still do it.

Re: Wedding Themes
I agree... I think whatever theme you want you should go for it. As long as it works for you. I am getting married at the end of May and have thought about doing the blue and silver theme.

Re: Wedding Themes
I am September 1st and its Labor day weekend. I love fall colors but Sept. 1st is def still summery so I am doing light blue and ivory with pinks and greens for flowers. Just a colorful palette. If I was more towards the end of September I'd probably do more fall colors.

Re: Wedding Themes
i had a real hard time with this. I started wanting a 1930 glamours theme, but i quickly found out that was hard to do w/o it looking tacky! i am just going vintage with black and ecru paper, pops of jewel tones and peacock feathers and vintage keys (it sounds really out there, but i think it is coming together.) I think if you like blue and white, then you should totally go with that. I don't know if i would do a full winter theme with snowflakes and stuff in Sept, but if that's what you really have your heart set on, go for it!

Re: Wedding Themes
I'm getting married in the Winter and my color scheme is black/silver/red and I added crystal snowflakes to tie in the Winter.

Agree SO MUCH.
We're getting married over Columbus Day weekend, but our vintage color scheme is really a typical Spring palette - and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Re: Wedding Themes
I think you can go with whatever color scheme you want.AS long as it's what you want. our wedding is in July were doing yellow and pink. and our thru line is 'xo' on the invites, cake topper, candles on the tables.and everything else. Enjoy your day!!!
