How much time is the average between the church and the reception. My coctail hour is at 630 and my church is 330-415. They are about a half hour apart. Do I have enough time? I am totally fine with missing the coctail hour which would mean i have from 530-7 give or take 15 minutes.

Re: WEDDING TIMES
it depends on your schedule. my sister wanted to take pics at old westbury gardens but the RH was in wading river. so her ceremony was at 12 and the CH was at 7:30 (she also wanted to be at her CH and then there was a specific time she had to be at OW gardens.
my ceremony is at 3:00pm and my CH is at 6pm. the RH is probably 20-30 minutes away at most, so i have time to take pictures and then be back to pics at the RH and make the CH.

Re: WEDDING TIMES
My church is at 4:30, CH starts at 7. The RH is about 30 mins away, but we're taking all our pics there so we might miss a little bit of cocktail hour but I hope not all of it.

Re: WEDDING TIMES
Church is at 3. Cocktail hour is at 7. I'm having a full mass and the priest is a talker so that could take awhile, but doing pics at the RH so hopefully we'll see some of CH.

Re: WEDDING TIMES
church is at 4:30 (not a full mass) and my CH is at 6:30.... they are ten minutes apart but from everyone's responses I'm wondering if that is not enough time!

Re: WEDDING TIMES
church is at 4 CH is at 7, the ceremony should only be about 45 minutes, than allow for sometime for the receiving line at the back of the church and than a few pics and we are off. The RH is about 20 minutes from the church so hopefully we will make most of the CH! That is my goal anyway!

Re: WEDDING TIMES
This is why we're doing pics before the ceremony and having everything happen (ceremony and reception) at the RH.

Re: WEDDING TIMES
Me too. I am traveling from Bklyn (full mass) into Queens (RH) and I actually am trying to convince FH to use his cruiser from work to speed us through traffic. It'll def get us faster than any limo can

Re: WEDDING TIMES
My church is at 3 and my CH starts at 7:30...but ceremony will be at least 45 minutes to an hour, plus receiving line, plus pics, plus 45 minutes to RH...figure we get there by 5.45 and then they can yell at me that I'm there 45 minutes before we're 'allowed'. I'd rather have that cushion for traffic, accidents, bad weather, etc.
