Re: Wedding traditions..
Wedding toss: have not discussed with FH. I was thinking of giving the flowers to my friend who's 10 year anniversary is that day, but her 2nd baby will be only 2 months old by then and I don't know if she will definitley be able to come to the wedding b/c she is having a C section. As for singles, we have enough to do a toss. I don't mind the garter thing either, it's so cheesy it's funny. No one does them anymore so to do it is different.
Yes rehursal dinner but not typical dinner. We decided that by the time we are done with the rehursal it will be 9pm and so we are going to the Knights of Columbus lounge where my dad is a member and the kitchen will prepare a 4' hero and some hot and cold dishes and it will be like buffet style. There is a bar and a bunch of cocktail tables and it will be very casual. Anyone that can't stay that long is free to go whenever they have to. I have a friend that is coming out from the city but going back that night, and another friend that has kids and she won't be able to stay that late.
Probably be until 11pm or midnight. I don't want to be up that late myself considering it's the night before the wedding. We to do it the day before. Our church only does rehursals on Fridays and the friday before 2 of our groomsmen won't be in town.
Not too sure about what we are doing about partying after the wedding night. We will be hanging out but it might be in Westchester (long story) or on LI. We'll figure that out after we get our replies.
We leavenot the next day but the one after for the HM. Because most of FH's friends and his dad and relatives will be coming over from overseas and it's only fair he get to spend one more night hanging out with them. We'll probably not even sleep, go right to the airport and sleep on the plane.
