Try a place that does an all inclusive package-- I believe The Sterling, Meditteranean Manor, and the Brentwood Country Club have them. Thatched Cottage might too.

I got my wedding dress on craig's list for $150. I highly recommend considering a non-new dress. That saved a heck of a lot of money for us.

Try to keep your guest list very small, book the basic packages like for photo and DJ, have candle CP's or short floral CP's, DIY as much as you can ( i saved about $300 for the invites that i wanted by making them myself), choose an off date like from December thru March the prices are usually cheaper, go for a buffet reception.

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I def plan on doing alot by myself. I was thinking of getting a wedding planner so it would be a lil easier to stay in the budget what do you think?

If you can be flexible with dates, sometimes halls want to fill a certain date (for a cancellation, etc.) and will give you a discount.

Keep your guest list small...the RH is about half of your wedding budget. Get married on Sunday between Dec and March...buy your dress at David's if you can....keep your BP small (large BPs add up because of the gifts, more ppl at the RH, etc!) and DIY, DIY, DIY
P.S. Wedding planners cost more money...! If you are on a budget IMO try to do it on your own. Plenty of girls didn't have one here and everything worked out fine

This would be possible if you had about 50 guests. Thats really the best way to keep your costs down...

Small guest list, get married off season (Dec-Jan-Feb)...maybe on a Sunday afternoon.

This is actually my budget. However I filled out a budget worksheet that includes EVERYTHING and it went up to $16,000!!!! However we are working on cutting things down little by little. If you want the worksheet fm me. It´s in excel and it lists everything you would need. Every single type of flower you may possibly need (you can cut back a lot here), marriage license, even stocking for the day of!! It´s really a complete list. This way you can come up with how you want to budget your money and find a way to do it.
