Wedding Update-Long

Hi, everyone, Haven't posted in awhile; lot of stuff going on!! Well, my maid of honor moved to Vegas on Wednesday. It was so sad to say goodbye-I know we'll still talk all the time; it's just so weird that she's not here, you know? And, she just had my soon-to-be nephew two weeks ago, so that makes it even harder. On a happier note, one of our bridesmaids just found out she's finally having a baby!! She'll be about eight months pregnant by our wedding, but we are so thrilled for her and her husband, who is also in the wedding!! I've been getting a lot done; shopping for bridal party gifts, getting favors together and we're going to register this week. I'm so excited!! My dress is finally in; I have to go in and try it on-what happens when you first go to try on dress-it's not actually a fitting yet, right? I think it's way too early. When I go to try it on, I will also try on some headpieces, so I can get that ordered. My mom surprised us with those little pewter chair placecard holders this weekend-they are so adorable!! Now, I'm just waiting for our priest to call us back-he said he would call this month, as he was going to be away-to see if he can do our mass. But, everything seems to be falling into place. Hope everyone's plans are going well!! Helen

Glad to see your plans are coming along

I am sorry to hear about your MOH moving. That is a very hard situation. Look at the bright side, now you have a great excuse to go to Vegas on vacation. I hope everything works out with your priest.

Sounds like you have a lot done

It's good to get as much done as possible ahead of time and it sounds as if that is what you are doing. Fittings for your dress usually aren't done til the last month before the wedding. I am sure this is just to make everything is okay with the dress ahead of time. Best of luck with everything.

Eeek - You're making me nervous!! :-) Am I behind?

Wow!! Sounds like you are close to finished! It'll be nice to have some down time for a few months! My wedding is in May and I can't decide on a gown & we just fired the band we hired b/c they changed lead singers on us (but we have an even better second option who I'm waiting to hear from). I finally got a decent florist rate... So I guess once the gown is ordered & the band secured, the big stuff is out of the way... But i haven't even THOUHT about attendant gifts, hair/makeup, & the little details.... I was planning to wait for the 6 month mark... Am I crazy???
