Hi! I recently got engaged and I'm totally clueless about wedding planning. We recently got a house so we're kinda tight with our budget. We going to have about 230 and I was hoping to find something that cost around 80-85$ a head including tax and gratuity. I know that's not a lot but I'm hopeful. We've been together for about 8 years now and we're so ready to get married lol. We want to get married in 2015in July,August or Late October. I'm so worried we won't be able to find a place we really like for the right price. Any info will help us at this point. Thanks ladies!

I was quoted $80pp for a Saturday day time October 2015 wedding at chateau la mer in lindenhurst. That included no service charge (but no gratuity.. You won't technically find gratuity included anywhere). Also, there are a bunch of lessings venues that offer all inclusive packages for $10,000 per 100 people. This includes photography, music, florist, etc. I would try for either a saturday day time, Friday, or Sunday wedding in October or later to get the price you're looking for. July and August are going to cost much more everywhere.

January February and March are a lot less than July-October. If your date is flexible, you'll find it a lot easier to find venues at that price per person. The Watermill will definitely be in that range from January-March

You're going to have to factor in the cost of tax + service charges and backdoor fees...that usually adds anywhere between $25-40 a person. My cousin got married at Captain Bill's on a Thursday last summer (both teachers) and I believe before fees it was like $65 a person, which is the lowest I've heard. Otherwise, you will probably need to do a day time event or do it in the winter months. Keep in mind if you'd be okay with a venue that hosts more than 1 wedding a time, it will probably be difficult to find at that price.

We're paying around that (before 20% gratuity) on a Sunday at Bridgeview in June. Definitely look into Sundays for good prices! If you're set on a Saturday, it probably won't work at Bridgeview. I've heard that Westbury Manor has great prices too!

Westbury Manor, East Wind and Captain Bill's. That was my price range as well and these are the places that quoted me around that price.

You also have to consider how much you want in your package. If you have a small cocktail hour vs a full scale, you will see a big difference. I found cocktail hour adds quite a bit to a price.

Floral Terrace! we were quoted about that, for a Sunday, if you're okay with that. And they'll definitely work with you. Westbury Manor as well.
