Wedding Vows

Is anyone writting your own vows? Im so nervous, my fi wants to say our own vows becuase he feels it is more special.
We have been through a lot, he has a daugther and we just got sole custody of her last nov,so I do a lot for her. and he wanted to bring that into our vows.
Im so nervous because we are getting married at the hall which means everyone will be there (not like a church) were some people dont come.

So I was just wondering who was writting their own vows?

i'd like to do that, but haven't given it much specific thought yet.
