Wedding Website Advice

What do you think I should do 2009 sisters?

I mailed my save the dates and indicated our wedding website on them. There are a million cool features and there and of course the necessary info about the wedding to give people a heads up..

There is an RSVP feature that I left on for those guests who knew they could absolutely not make it...it would be helpful for A and B guest list purposes.

I did not anticipate people to start RSVP'ing to a save the date really but now tons of people are and are RSVP'ing for their children that are not invited. I mean families of 6 or 7...who does that???

Should I :

1.Let it rock until I send out the invites and make them super specific
2.Contact those people right away
3. Turn off the RSVP feature (which I only left on so I could know if there were going to be declines..)

hmm.. i was worried this may happen to me, (I haven't sent mine out yet) so I was thinking about turning off the RSVP feature. Now I think I definitely will!!

If it were me, I'd probably turn it off, not say anything, and just wait to send out the invites... THEY were the ones who are assuming their children are invited.... not sure if that is the correct way to go about it but probably what I would do.

wow, that is complicated. i would turn off the RSVP feature ASAP. It's up to you if you want to address things w/ respect to children. It might be a good idea to give people a heads up that kids are not invited -- maybe have a family member do the dirty work if you dont feel comfortable.

Good luck with that

Thats exactly whyi didnt put my website on the STD's and turned off that feature anyway. But i would definitely turn it off & probably let them know that you werent able to invite children for accomadation reasons etc. i wouldlet them know ASAP. But apologize for the confusion.

I actually think you could leave it on and when you send out the invites, be super clear who is and who is not invited. If it's helping you get an idea for your invites, use it . . .. people should not assume until an invite arrives. It is what it is . . . a 'Save the Date'

EXACTLY..THAT WS HOW I WAS APPROACHING IT FROM THE BEGINNING...BUT MY HEART SKIPS EVERY SINGLE TIME I CHECK THE RSVP SECTION

If it were me I would probably do all 3 of your options just to cover my bases. I totally agree with you that is absurd!! I actually got some RSVP's from FH's family and I made sure to email them to explain that they will also be receiving a formal invitation cuz I didn't want them to think that was the formal invite. People are silly!

I would turn the rsvps off asap. The children invited to our wedding are int he wedding party so its not a big deal for me, but 6 or 7 EACH? Not good. Then they'll start to get prepared for the wedding, get the kids outfits etc...

Sorry you have to go through that!!
