How much do you/did you/would you pay someone for creating a website for your wedding? My FI is creating one for a friend of a friend and was wondering about how much to charge this person. Thank you!

It depends on how complex it is, how much information is included, how many photos, etc.. Also, is it just text based or you designing images and flash graphics.
The more complex and stylized a site it, the more time it takes to make it right.

FI's not sure about flash but it will definitely have images, links, and stuff like that. He's not sure he'll include the flash graphics. Thanks for the quick response!

i have a similar question cuz people have asked me about the same thing after seeing my wedding website. i think the best thing would be to go to google and find companies that do this as a business. check out what they're charging and how much they give. that should give you a good base and you can adjust from there depending on what you plan on including, or any discounts since it's a friend. thats my plan for now

Do it yourself!
theweddingtracker.com is excellent! No pop-ups, and the wed-site address will be your name & hubby to be.com (IE: maryandjohn.com or johnandmary.com or john-mary.com) They include wedding planning software which is so unbelievably helpful!
Your friends and family will never know that you didn't actually design it yourself.

VirtuallyMarried.com is another website where you can create your own. They have cool flash intros . . .but I think that theweddingtracker.com will get you more for your dollar.

another plug here for Weddingtracker.com - it was a no brainer to create & cheap! Hardest part is downloading pics, but no harder than dowloading for anything else
