I have 40 pounds to lose before my wedding in July and wanted to start a support thread as to what people are doing to lose weight and not feel stressed.
My newest thing I am doing is walking every morning. I just discovered SmartSole Exercise Insoles which help me burn more calories when I walk and I love them. They are super comfortable and tone and tighten like Skecher Shape Ups and are under $20. You can get them online but I found them for sale at Duane Reade. I am also wearing a pedometer to keep track that I walk 10,000 steps daily

Great job! Keep up the good work! it really helps if you write out your schedule....I put a workout calender on the inside of my bathroom cabnet mirror along with insperation pictures. Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
Same here. MUST.LOSE.WEIGHT! It sucks. I went off the bandwagon this spring/summer for a bit but have to be back on now, especially with trying on gowns and ordering one! I'm using the loseit app on my ipod touch. Keeps me from forgetting what I've eaten. I'm also walking everyday now. I need to do some serious arm exercises as well. I dunno. It's a mess. haha
Oh yeah, and the Nike plus. You stick it in your shoe and can sync to your ipod.

Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
I had a pedometer and I was doing so well with it. I was losing a pound every week pretty steadily. Of course last Sunday I lost it and now I been doing nothing. I need to go buy a new one this weekend. Keep up the good work and Good Luck!

Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
I had to have my dress let out and I was so upset with myself, so get this girl! My advice, don't focus on weight loss. I lose weight more when I focus on just being healthy and feeling better. Yoga in the morning, walking the dog at night, not snacking all day, all these things make you feel better and help you reach your goals without stressing you out! Best of luck

There's a gym check in thread on the '12 board if you're interested.
40 lbs by next July is doable, but it really depends on your starting weight as to whether it's healthy. If you're an average weight girl who wants to be thin on her wedding day, please make sure you do it the healthy way and not lose too much! Sorry if I'm being intrusive or presuming anything, I just want all my LIW girls happy and healthy on their wedding days

Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
i also need to lose desperately...i used to do weight watchers and work out 3-4 times a week and then my schedule changed dramatically and i'm lacking so much motivation and energy at the end of the day...i lost about 40lbs before in a year and a half or so (now all gained back), and i'd really like to lose closer to 50lbs...

Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
I lost 30 lbs but it took over a year. It was mostly from dieting. The last ten lbs of that 30 have been from diet and exercise. I only have diet soda once in a while. I usually drink water, seltzer and flavored water. It really helps to watch what you put in your mouth. I used a lot of calorie packs to help me be more mindful when snacking. The 30lbs extra was the largest I ever was in my life, so now Im back down to what I've always been. Good Luck and let me know if you need any tips or anything!

WEIGHT WATCHERS!
I have lost almost 50 lbs since joining a year and a half ago. You can definitely lose weight faster, I had a lot of time and lost the majority in about a year.

Re: Wedding Weight Loss!
I've been on weight watchers for 3 years now.
Lost 10 lbs and have been maintaining now for 2 years.
I got the points plus pedometer and use it religiously (even on days when we have a special occasion.. I clip it onto my bra rather than onto my waistband.) I track my steps, how many miles and the amount of points every night.
As for eating, right now I'm not being as good as I should. I bought these bowls to help me with my portion sizes. In addition, I use a salad plate (so essentially I'm using three dishes for breakfast/dinner)
I've been using these for 2 years now and I absolutely love them.
