There is a channel on cable called 'exercise on demand' they have TONS of exercise programs and you pick whichever one you want and play it when you are ready to do it...They have alot of workouts for arms...I would STRONGLY suggest doing tami lee webb's 'i wont those arms' she is hard but you will def see results.

THey also have a 'brides to be' section

I would do these workouts at least 3x a week, 4-6 if you want faster results

I find that arms are the easiest thing to tone up on me. Remember that light weights and more reps will do the job rather than killing yourself to life something too heavy.
Plenty of cardio, no carbs after lunch time and someone to push you when your feeling lazy has worked for me.

you're welcome, and dont forget hard work will get you your results.

For me arms are the hardest to lose, its weird bc they say its the easiest, but when i work out alot, like im even doing now, my stomach and everything else will get alot smaller and toned but my arms take longer

I disagree about the light weights and more frequent reps. If the weights are too light, more reps will not do anything. The weights have to be heavy enough so that the last few reps are difficult. The last 3+ reps should be difficult (the first 5 should not be too difficult). You should only be doing 2 or 3 sets of 12-15 reps for each exercise (and you should start with only 1 set).

Also, remember, you can tone as much as possible, but won't look tone unless you burn off any excess fat (which may not be an issue for you at all - unfortunately it is for me!)

Continue doing your cardio workouts and add some weight training about 3~4 times a week.

For the tricep area, you can do kickbacks or even dips. You can go on to some websites like self.com or fitnessmagazine.com and pick up great arm workouts there too!

I agree. Use weights that are not too light that you have a really easy time with the exercises, but not too heavy that you can't get past the first couple. People also say no pain, no gain which is not necessarily true. If it's hurting, then it might be that you are doing too much.

yeah they say its better to do less reps that are more intense and slow

I guess I should have been more specific when I said use lighter weights. I didnt mean to pick up a 2 lb weight and think your going to get great results but I see women trying to use weights that are WAY too heavy for them, use bad form and do 5 curls thinking its enough.
Definalty working your muscles untill you feel fatigued is a good way to know that you've done what you set out to do. But you guys are right..you've got to get rid of the flab in order to see the toned up result.

At the same time, though, if it takes you more than 12-15 reps to feel fatigued, your weights are too light.

Re: Wedding workout-Arms

heres what i have been doing and if i was more consistent prob see better results...

3 sets of 15 to 18 reps
(started with 5 lb moved up to8 lb free weights)

bicep curls

tricep (overhead)

upright row for shoulders (think thats what its called!)

shoulder shrugs

dont forget shoulders.... i never did them before but you notice more definition when you work that area..

good luck!

Re: Wedding workout-Arms

find a chair in your house and set yourself up so your arms are supporting your body and your legs are straight out in front of you with your toes sticking up, lower your body slowly and come back up. try not to use your legs...this will help to get rid of your under arm flab. You should also start doing push ups because it will help sculpt your entire upper body...just make sure your doing it correctly...you really don't need to use weights...these work just as good using you body weight

FM me with any questions, I'm a personal trainer HTH!
