Re: Wedding World
I got the same call right after we got engaged. I got so many calls including we had won a honeymoon, and we never entered any kind of contest. I think you should be careful with that sort of stuff.

Re: Wedding World
I don't believe that it is so much of a scam per se. If you go there they probably will give you $400.00 off or towards something. A couple of years ago, i got a call from a vendor saying that i won a free honeymoon to a choice of a few different locations. It turned out to be a presentation for cookware and china BUT we did get our voucher for the free trip and we did not buy anything. We never used the voucher we actually forgot about it cause it was good for 2yrs but two of my co-workers got the same exact thing form the same company and they both used theirs. I think it's just more of an annoyance than anything. I get calls all the time. Just got one the other day from a makeup artist saying she was glad to meet me at the bridal show at the renaissance of astoria. I have not been to any bridal shows for the past couple of years I think a lot of this comes from dress shopping. Think about it: If you know you have not given your # to anyone or have not signed up for anything, where would they really get your info from. When i went to Davids Bridal to try on dresses, I had to fill out the paper that asks about the bridal party and your name and phone# etc. Now we know with Davids Bridal comes MW which I have received so much stuff as well as calls from them. Now that i found my dress from another store, I have more vendors calling me and sending me things.
So i would look into it further if you're interestd. It may not be an actual scam but you still may or may not like what they have to offer or there may be a catch to it.
