Everybody wants to make their wedding beautiful and set it apart from previous weddings that you have been to..
What are you doing that is creative/different to give your wedding a WOW factor and separate it from the rest?

This is something that I have been going back & forth with FH on since we booked CLM..
We booked our hall since they have an impeccable reputation, give an enormous amount of quality food.
We kept debating about the Photo booth, is it worth the extra $1k, yada yada, we went to a wedding out of state and there was the photo booth there, a ton of fun, but it's already been done.
We are having the chocolate fountain from CLM, and as of now that is our only wedding extra. Our wedding will be more like a good meal out with 250 of our closest family and friends.

we are doing alot of different things
having the cigar roller (gift for fh so he has no clue and wont until that night)
doing the scroll seating chart instead of place cards
doing non flower centerpieces (something with branches and leaves)
Getting a channa plaque
& dressing up our wedding cake with jewelry
Im sure i will do more lol

i think my RH is the WOW for us...but we are also having a cigar bar which will be different. I am also doing a seating chart separated into multiple frames on a table. Our flowers are amazing too!

i don't think i am having a huge wow factor, i agree with the OP, it will be a huge fancy shmacny dinner with all of our friends with great music

Not sure what my WOW factor is gonna be yet..hoping its just the food at the venue that blows people away. When I first got engaged I looked into those strolling tables for cocktail hour. Everyone thought I was nuts! LMAO. Glad they talked me out of it!

I am the wow factor.... ... j/k LOL I don't think there is anything in particular that is so over the top but there are various things that when all together I think ppl will leave and be like 'Wow, what a fantastic wedding'.

LOL I agree...ITS ME!!!! , just kidding but not really...HA!! I think for us it is the uplighting and the linens that we are using for the reception and maybe the table number photo frames....I guess it is the reception hall...and maybe our DJ....

hmm
i think my hall is a wow factor since its not really well known and has gorgeous chandeliers and we're doing uplighting and our monogram on dancefloor
my flowers are huge and will have dangling crystals and hopefully pinspotting
crystals and bling everywhere, tables, cake, ceremony etc

I sure hope I am the WOW factor!!!!! I don't think we have anything major but I've done little things to personalize it and make it special. Lots of candles, framed photos of us throughout the mansion. Our cake has bling and there is a surprise groom's cake which will have 5x7 mounted photos on easels around it that go with its theme. Instead of table numbers we're names with a paragraph to match which will hopefully be interesting to the guests but help facilitate conversation.

our flowers were definitely the biggest 'wow' that people talked about. we spent a ton of money on flowers, and looking back at the pictures, it was well worth it.
so many guests commented that they never entered a ballroom with such a fragrant smell. the scent from the lillis definitely filled up the room.

in addition to high centerpieces, we are also adding hight pillar candles with gold candle plates . I think the candles will give it the extra 'wow' i am looking for.

we're trying to be different with our favors. the italian restaurant where we had one of our first dates and celebrated our engagement sells jars of their pasta sauce. we are looking into getting wooden spoons engraved with our names & wedding date, and giving them out along with the jar of sauce.
another thing we want to do is write our own vows. i've never been to a wedding where they've done that, but it's something that i feel is so meaningful. i don't know if it'll be a 'wow' to others, but i do know that when my fiance says his vows, that's going to be one of the biggest highlights of the night! :)

We are doing branches and crystals for centerpieces rather than flowers
Girls are not having bouquets they are having muffs
I am having someone from the RH at the door telling people what table they are at rather than looking for their place card
We are coming out from the floor and the middle of the dancefloor is going to have our names
I ordered by dress but also redesigned it making it more my own
