So, the Disney wedding consultant called and said that we may have to change the date that we originally selected. Since we have not gone to sign the contract or put the money down.... we lose the date if someone else comes along...
So, now FH wasnt 7.8.09. But I am afraid by the time we book (June) it will be taken!!!!

OH NO!! What did the consultant say about that? Did she advise to you book earlier or did she seem like it was OK to wait?!? I really hope you get whatever date you want!!!
Just out of curiosity, how come you guys want to wait til or June to book? I'm sorry if you mentioned this before - I might have missed it

We have to literally fly down to disney to book... because we have to see each location...
and that's the only time im off!!! Grrrrr to teaching!

GRRR!! Now I remember - teachers can't just take time off during the year! LOL
If you can get 7/8/09, I think that will be such an awesome date! I don't think you'll have a lot to worry about since it's in the middle of the week - I think maybe the Saturdays will go the quickest. I could be totally wrong but you could keep checking back with her every week to make sure the date's still open LOL

Yes we are hoping since its in the middle of the week it will work. We wanted the weekday because its cheaper for everyone to fly and the hotels won't be that expensive... but fh wanted a thursday because thats the day we met...
the thursday is 7.9.09 which i think has a cute ring also lol
but, we willsee. Whatever happens happens for a reason! How are you feeling????

7/9/09 is great too! and it's good that you're open to different days cause then hopefully one will be open if the other isn't!

wow, what a pain! i hope that it works out though... how magical it would be to get married in disney!! and i love that date too (easy to remember) but no matter when you have it, it will be incredible! good luck!

I know it's disapointing if you can't get the date you want but I think any date that time of year will be fine. Just think at least you don't have to change the location, just the date. Everything will work out but I agree, stay on top of her and follow up often to chck the status on the date.

7.8.09 is almost like my date! im 8.7.09 haha! we could be almost date twins!!
that stinks that they need you to go all the way to florida to lock in a date maybe since your date is on a wednesday you wont have to worry to much.. if it was on a weekend, youd probably have more of a chance of losing it.. but i think you should be ok!!

I agree that the new date is catchy.. and remember it doesnt matter wat date u r getting married on as long as u marry the person that u love, so it will b the happiest day of ur life no matter wen it happens.

Thats a cool date! I wanted 7-8-9 since we were engaged on 9-8-7 so I thought that would be perfect, but 7-8-9 is smack right in the middle of the week.

I know this might not be an option at all since it would be kind of hectic..but would you consider flying down to FL just as an overnite thing? Tickets can be pretty cheap around this time of year...
