In the spirit of Thanksgiving week, and what we're thankful for - I wanted to talk about our bridal party, and most importantly why they are part of it! Today's question is:
Why did you choose the people you did to be part of your bridal party? Do you think you could see yourself having a wedding without them in it?
My answer:
My bridal party consists of my sister as my MOH and FH's brother as his BM. I couldn't see anyone else besides my other side than my sister - supporting me, truly being happy for me, and seeing me get married - her little sister that she's seen grow up since day one (okay, now I'm in tears hah). I've considered having another person or two in the bridal party, but nobody else could be close to what it means to having my sister next to me.
For FH, it's his only brother and someone that has equally always been at his side - someone that has had his back since he was born, and similarly for FH, his best man is his older brother, and now he gets to be side by side with the person that has saw him grow up.
I can't wait to have these special people as part of the most important day in our lives to date

This is a SAD question for me... I choose the people i choose bc i thought they loved me... i thought i had friends.... Apparently I DONT!!!! My first Xbff, said yes then no.... bc its too much and didnt even want to b my friend anymore nor moh... y second xbff.... Said yes but never had time, so she said no to moh tittle and no to our friendship... third... doesnt talk to me for ONE MONTH now over a little stupid argument... so i guess she doesnt has the title anymore...
So I AM LONELY with my FH....
I thought I had ppl who loved me and BEFORE i could NOT imagine NNOT having a Bridal party... But NOW, I am trying to get that to my Head.. I WILL NOT HAVE A BRIDAL PARTY WITH ME ON MY WEDDING DAY...

I knew I was going to choose my bff as my MOH because we have been through thick and thin for at least 12 years now.... I wasnt sure on my sister as a BM but I knew she would appreciate it even if we were not close... I was torn between a lot of friends from back home (Iwould say 3, but I didnt want to offend so I chose a friend that I was close with in NY)....
Turns out she wasnt a friend and did the same s*hit that V's 'friends' did so now I'm with my sis and my MOH and it's OK. Now that I think about it, this is perfect for my wedding day and if they would only answer my emails/texts.....

My Bridal Party is
My Sister Carly (MOH) My Sister Kerri My Best Friend (practically my sister) Jessica
I could never get married without my family surrounding me. They are my support, they are my rocks! When i want advice from someone who has done this all before, i call Carly. When i want to get an honest opinion about how i look..i call Kerri. And when it seems like i just feel like giving up, i call Jess. They are all so important to me that i don't know what i would do if they weren't by my side

everyone of my girls I have known for at least 10 years.
MOHs Sister Friend- since first day of kindergarten
BMs friend- roomate since college friend- college lax teammate friend (fh's SIL- known her for as long as our relationship)
these girls are my best friends, we dont fight, we would never not be there for one another, and we support each other in everything even if its not something that we agree with
I dont pick girls just to keep the sides even, i want to be surrounded by people who do not cause drama, and who I know will be there for me throughout this whole process, it was never a question that I would NOT have them. I think that if you have to scrounge to find friends to be your bridesmaids, then they obvisouly are not people who are in your daily life and they should not be in your wedding

We were fortunate in that FH has 1 brother and I have 1 sister, so we had built-in BM & MOH!
I really didn't want anyone else up there with us!

I actually had my BP picked out before I even met FH LOL - which answers the 2nd part of the question first that I could not see myself having a wedding without them n it. My Matron has been my friend/sister since the 1st grade, my Maid has been my best friend for the past 10 years (and we found out in the midst of our friendship that we are actually distant cousins - crazy huh?), and my other 2 BMs are my cousins who I could not even imagine not having them be a part of the wedding. I also asked FH's sister to be a part of the wedding party because in the time I've been with FH I have become very close with her and she feels like she's already my sister and I know FH would have liked her in the BP as well.

My bridal party consists of:
2 MOHs - my sisters 5 BMs - 3 are my JHS/elementary school friends, 1 is my FSIL and the other is my SIL.
I really can't imagine them not being there. I'm so glad I have the BP that i do! My gorgeous ladies!!!

I am having my big sister as my MOH, my best girlfriend, and FH's cousin (he was in her wedding back in 2002 and he is her daughter's godfather). Also my niece/goddaughter will be a JBM and my other niece and FH's goddaughter will be flowergirls.
He is having his twin brother as his best man, his younger brother, and then my brother as his groomsmen.
I think the bridal party is just perfect for us....I know I am going to look back on my wedding photos in 20 years and all of the people in my bridal party will still be in my life (God willing, of course). There are other friends I could have asked but we wanted to keep it intimate. So far, they have all been wonderful and I can't see our wedding without them!

My MOH has been my best friend since I could remember (we were in the same play group when we were 1 yrs old.) She's been my sister *since i don't know one*. I don't think I could have a wedding without here there... my BM have ALL played a significant role in my life and the wedding just won't be right without them there.
The BM are our brothers and his close friends since middle school. As with my girls, they have all been there for him!

My MOH is my only sister and I love her to death so there is no way I would ever have a wedding without her in it. I would rearrange my whole wedding to be sure that she could be a part of it!
My other BMs are my FSIL who I would also never have a wedding without, and our FG is FH's niece.
Originally thats all I had wanted in my BP, but FH wanted a big BP, so I added my two best friends from growing up and my best friend from college. I am really glad I asked all of them, my friends are amazing and I am so excited they get to be part of our day

My MOH is my sister <3 I have 3 cousins as BMs that I love to death The rest are very close friends that mean the world to me They are the most amazing friends anyone could ask for and I couldnt imagine my wedding without them

Choosing my BP was easy...i'm having my 1 sister as my MOH. I could never imagine getting married with out her standing there beside me. My BFF will be my BM; and i've asked one of FH close friends to be my other BM. So a total of 3 girls. He's got 3 guys on his side.

I've had my BP picked before I was even engaged too =)
MOH's: my 2 closest friends...I love them...I haven't even been friends with them that long (6 or 7 years?) but I feel like I've known them my whole life. We do everything together--travel, etc.
BM's: SIL FSIL...love her my 3 close friends from high school...they mean so much to me =) my former roommate..also close friend my cousin
All together it's 9 BM's...my FSIL thought I was crazy for having such a big BP but I don't care...I woudn't cut anyone out...I love them all and need them there! I wouldn't make it any shorter just for numbers purposes!

Ohhh i like this one.. and if it were up to my FH i would have alot more.. lol 1 &2 My two sisters will be standing up next to me both as my MOH. I wouldnt have it any other way! They truley are the best and im lucky not only to have one BUT TWO.. 3. my sister in law to be- who i love just as much and luck to because i know thats rarely the case but int his case we are close and im so happy we were and lucky to have he rin my life 4. My little cousin.. who is the greatest an always a little ball of engry! love her! 5. my life long friend who grew up acrossed the street from me -- she is like a little sister to me! ive moved from that house 3 years ago after living there for 24 years -- and even though im not there anymore we still have that bond were we know we will always be there for one another. 6. A great new friend i have know now for about 3 years due to her husband now being one of FH close friends.. she is the best simply stated!! 7. & 8 are always close friends of mine from FH and i would have it any other way they must be there with me!!
FH groomsmen His brother as BM - hes basically the brother i never had! 2. my brother in law , 3 -8 all of his close friends who are just as close to him as they are to me.. and 3 of the cutest ring bearers - my 3 nephews we are VERY LUCKY!! -- seriously 12-31 needs to be here SOON! i can not wait!!!!!!!!!

I always knew I wanted my two sisters as my MOHs and then my 3 cousins as BM and along the way I added two best friends and then my 2 FSILs so I don't think it would be a wedding without everyone that I have chosen! They are special and close to me and wouldn't have it any other way

We have a very small BP.
For FH: His Dad and His brother as BM. He couldn't see himself not having them both there.
For Me: My MOH - my best friend since birth. Literally. We have our entire lives together. We are more like sisters. I was her MOH as well.
My Man of honor - is my little brother. I wanted him there with ME. To have those memories of getting ready before the wedding. He's my rock and I adore him.

My sister is MOH...she is awesome Then I have my sister in law is awesome also My FSIL Three of my girlfriends - two from highschool one is a coworker And my Aunt (who is younger than my sister and sister in law;) I picked people who would look out for me and not make my wedding day about themselves.

All the girls I chose are either family or have been my friend for a very long time, from elementary school or 7th grade. There are 2 other girls I wish I can have but I feel I need to draw the line or it will just be too many.
