WEEK 36-37 appointment

WEEK 36-37 appointment

I had my prental appt on Monday night, and everything is fine, but my MW thought the heartrate was kind of low, so she had me go into the hospital yesterday morning to be monitored with a nonstress test. It went back up, so nothing to worry about, she said it might have been b/c I hadn't eaten. The NST also monitored for contractions, but I'm not having any.

She also did an internal exam at the hospital, and said the baby's head is all the way down! So, that's good news too, but doesn't necessarily predict when I will go into labor. She's hoping I'm really early, like next week so that I'll have it easy and the baby doesn't get much bigger. She's gotten me all excited about delivering early, I've finally accepted our living situation, and I decided that I'm not going to let anyone, or anything ruin my fun or joy, so I'm ready for the baby now!! And, I have everything we need, except my hospital bag isn't packed yet. Better get moving on that.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting, Niha!!! Your little one will be here soon!!! You better get packing!! Did they do a 'strep-B' test?

I'm 34w tomorrow and my appt. is Friday. I don't think they'll do an internal until 36 weeks for me. DH and I have so many events in the next 4 weeks, I keep telling Peanut he/she can come any time after Father's Day!! (I'll be full-term June 12th)!

Feel well!!!

Re: WEEK 36-37 appointment

Kathi, I've been B strep + since the beginning, so my MW will test again in the next couple of weeks, but most likely I will need the antibiotics. She said they can give me 'wireless' IV for it.

Just to remind you, I think you need a new name for your baby, since I don't think he/she is a 'peanut' anymore!!

Re: WEEK 36-37 appointment

Oh, I didn't know you were StrepB+ from the start ...sorry!

LOL, you're right...Peanut is no longer a 'Peanut'!!!
I call him/her nutter butter, angel, tough guy, baby girl LOL...whatever comes to mind at the time we're 'bonding'!

Meanwhile, DH & I haven't agreed on ONE name yet!! No pressure!

Getting close! Definitely get that bag packed.

I still call Lukie 'Peanut' although his latest name from Mommy is Lukie Bear or Luke-a-Boo

dont forget to pack calling cards or a handful of quarters- you are not allowed to use a cell phone anywhere in the hospital!
