Weekend checks!!!!!!!
So excited. Had a packed day on Saturday.
We went to the jeweler and ordered our rings. My ring is a 72 year old family heirloom and he's going to reinforce it with small platinum bands on either side. I was a little bummed because once they add the bands, it's 3x as thick, and when I put it on with my e-ring, it's really TOO much, since I have small fingers, but I can always wear my e-ring on my right hand.
I also got a really beautiful carved everyday white gold band, which the jeweler (same jeweler whose grandfather sold my grandfather the original ring over 72 years ago, by the way), gave to me as a wedding gift.
We also got FH's ring which is a simple carved white gold ring which he really likes and is really 'him' but he's concerned about the sizing since he has never worn jewelry in his life and he finds everything uncomfortable. Even if a ring is the right size he can't relax his finger enough to get it off. LOL!
I also went to tux place and changed from black ties to pretty stiped plum ties to match the girls' dresses and the guys (ALL 4 of them,,, a miracle!) all got fitted.
Also, they planned their bachelor party, which unfortunately is 2 weeks before the wedding and will involve us missing a bat mitzvah![]()
but whatever.
SOO excited about all 3 of the rings and can't wait to see them and wear them!
