Does anyone know where to look to book a weekend getaway type thing? I want to go away with FH, but I don't know where or how to begin looking! Thanks.

are you talking about somewhere you can drive? like somewhere local? (ex. poconos)
Montauk...really nice and romantic in the off-season Boston Philadelphia (The Philadelphia Flower Show is in the Spring, really pretty!)

I always check Orbitz/Expedia and Hotels.com for deals.
Another good site is Cyberrentals.com. You can rent people's vacation homes for a fraction of the cost of hotels in some areas.
Some close getaways: Newport, Rhode Island Stockbridge, MA Stowe, VT Lake Sunapee / WHite Mountains, NH Boston, MA or Martha's Vineyard/ Chatham area Lake George, NY Niagara Falls Bush Kills, PA

I dont know how far you want to go or how exciting you want it to be.... but FH and I are going to take a road trip upstate and to connecticut this weekend coming up. We are going to kinda wing it and just enjoy the pretty scenery this time of year and make it a fall weekend. gonna probably visit our college town, visit my brother at college, stop at my aunts house.... just a lot of driving but enjoying a relaxing weekend away together.
