Fh's birthday is coming up at the end of September and my brithday is one week after. I am trying to plan a quick weekend getaway (drive). I really want it to be special. He deserves it! Any suggestions for places we can go late on Friday night and return Sunday afternoon?

I've been there. It's very nice. It's out there though and once it gets cold many places don't stay open. The room I stayed in had a kitchen so I guess there's an option to cook instead of going out. How about Boston? It's beautiful in the fall and there's a lot to do if you want to.

I am thinking of doing this. It's rustic but I think it would be very cool. And he would love it. Hudson 2 day white water rafting
If it takes you to the home page, enter the site and you will find links to the Hudson site on the left. It is pretty easy to navigate.

What about Mystic CT? They have some nice hotels and Foxwoods is near by if you like to gamble. There is also the aqaurium and mystic seaport.

You can do AC or the Poconos, both are usually fun!
