Weekend Getaway Suggestions

I want to plan a weekend getaway for a Sat-Sun in August for FH, then DH

I was looking into Danford's and it looks cute! I want it to be on Long Island and preferrably near water. I've just never been there though....

any suggestions?

Eastport has two great Bed and Breakfasts:
Victorian on the Bay
Seatuck Cove Inn

Or out in Montauk:
Beachcomber
Hither House

both are right on the water

I say go to Block Island.....you can take the ferry from Montauk and there are a tone of Inns and B & B's there to stay at

Block Island is great. Its romantic and cute and there are tons of bed and breakfasts.

You could also do Fire Island, Ocean Beach or something like that.

and of course Montauk... The Montauk Yacht Club is nice.
