When do you plan on going on your 'getaway' - VT is really pretty in the summer! My parents have a house near Mt Snow and we go up year-round! Summer is great for hiking, restaurants, kayaking, etc.

Sag Harbor is such a cute town and they have great food and nice shops and its right on the water and not too far either!

Cooperstown?
LOVE Cooperstown!!!! I am not a baseball fan,but took FH there to see the Hall of Fame. The hotel there- The Otesaga- AMAZING!!! We watched a wedding take place on their lawn (we were on the sundeck lounging in rocking chairs). Everyone is uber-friendly! Its such a nice break from NYC

The Poconos, PA. I personally love the Cove Haven Resorts cause they are all inclusive.
