Weekend of Checks!

So first off, my mom and I went to RK Bridal today and she bought her dress (FINALLY!). I think she looks great in it and not very 'motherly' (she didn't want a matronly dress). It's hard to see from the pics but it's a purple dress.

And, I had my hair trial on Saturday and it went great and I booked the girl for the day of. I'm torn between two different looks. Bear in mind that we didn't do a 'full' trial - just enough to get an idea so it will look a lot more polished and fuller the day of. Also, we are going to start cutting my hair in layers to give the curls a more fuller, softer look in the back.

Didn't get a pic with the veil on cuz I'm a dummy but the veil will be placed were the curls are gathered in the back (just so you have the idea).

yeah and I am thinking that it may stay a little better if it's puller back in the front. My worry with style #2 (even though I love it) is that my hair is going to fall flat in the front very quickly. Like the body won't keep up.

that's what i would be worried about too. especially if you plan on dancing - at least with it clipped back you don't have to worry about it sticking to your face or losing body

exactly. And I can gurantee the dancing part LOL. I left there leaning more towards the second look so that's why there are more pics of it but I think I am going to tell her the day of to pull it back.

good call. my friend wore her hair all down in curls for her wedding and they fell from all the dancing. they looked great for her pics though!

eta- also, what is the line that your mom's dress is from? RK is so overwhelming it'll help narrow things down. My mom also wants a dress with a a little jacket

they actually sold it to my mom off the rack because the designer does not do rush orders apparantly. But they lady said the dress just came in last week, and we looked it over and it was in perfect condition.
