Re: weekend wedding
how about some bags or boxes with simple things like water bottles, cookies or snacks, maybe a map of the area. you can do it, just be creative. hth

Re: weekend wedding
most people leave a 'welcome basket' for the out of town weekend guests. most baskets (or pretty decorated bags) are filled with little things to eat. i would suggest you could got to bj's or costco and buy the snack size chips, cookies, cases of water - and just put together a nice little bag for the guests to nosh on in their rooms.
we went to a wedding in NJ - and when we checked in the hotel we were starved - and that bag of goodies was a godsend.
some people go a little more elaborate and get personalized stuff to put in - but it is not necessary if you are trying to cut cost.

yeah, find out with the inn if you are able to do this. i'm sure that it won't be a problem. it doesn't matter how small or big something is, is that the though that counts.
