I'm so stressed about planning! I've already looked at 6 halls and I haven't gotten that 'feeling' from any of them. I have 6 more planned this week. However, they're all of the expensive places. I guess we'll see!

i looked at floral terrace in floral park for sundays in july and was quoted $90 - the place was nice but no outdoors!

we also looked and booked Chateau la Mer for a Sunday in July and its $75 - BEAUTIFUL inside and out! we are going to food tasting next week!

I am making a list for the bridal showers...yes SHOWERS. I am having 1 here in Ny and 1 in FL. Both of us have a lot of family in FL that cant make it up here for the shower and the wedding so my mother in law that it would be nice to have 2. The one in NY will be towards the end of this year and the one in FL will be the begining of next year.

My mother thought it would be nice to have the shower early to make it easier for our guest. Most of the wedding is from out of town so to have them pay for a gift, airfaire, hotel then any other exspense would be asking alot. I dont mind...i love a party

My places this week are Lands End, Giorgio's, Atlantica, Flowerfield, North Ritz Club, and East Wind. I think most of them are pretty expensive though. The only one I really liked that I've looked at so far is The Inn and New Hyde Park. It was really nice!

I have personally been to Giorgios and LOVED it! it is beautiful!!!!

if you can/want to...fri, sat day, and sunday's are a great way to save money...hth! xxoo

Hi Everyone,

-We looked at a few halls so far- Land's End, Cresthollow, & Lombardi's on the Bay (yes- the BAY! It is the old Louis the XVI fully renovated). We have two more appointments on Wednesday with Huntington Harbor Club & The Thatched Cottage. Right now we really like Lombardi's.

-We are penciled in at the Church for May 21st- but have a few other dates in mind to work with.

-Also planning our E-Party for August 29th

Congrats and Welcome!!

I have my reception hall and my church booked..so we are all set on that...We are having our engagement party on Aug 22...but i am starting to stress that I should be doing more and have more things book...but i am still in the 700's i feel like thats FOREVER! away

I have the RH and Church booked.
I wanted to take the summer off of planning and save money up.

I plan on starting to look at photographers the end of august.

so far:
-RH is booked! so excited, they were so nice to work with! let me come in and see it like 3 times!
-photographer booked! (patken)
-I ordered my gown and veil! (Saison Blanche and I love it!)

I'm getting a little concerned with not having an officiant yet. my church is waiting to get a new pastor so i'll either end up asking the new person, or i have a distantly related fam member that is a pastor and i'm hoping he'll do it!

-I'm also getting a little worried that I picked a bad weekend (new years weekend) it was the best for FH and I being that we are still in medical school but i'm worried all his family is going to be an arm and a leg for a hotel room over that time. they are all coming from out of state.

thats it for now! can't wait to go interview djs when i get home in the fall!
