I went with my mom this weekend to see Old Field Club (FH and I went alone last time and loved it) and she loved it! We just stopped by to look around for a few minutes and they were having an event in about 30 mins so the room was all set up. It looked absolutely GORGEOUS and I definitely got that 'feeling' when I was there. I was totally able to envision my wedding there and felt like it was 'the one.' We also went to The Harbor Club and de Seversky Center this weekend. We loved de Seversky Center as well, the drive up is gorgeous and the hall is very elegant. However, it is a little out of our price range. We are going to one more hall next weekend..Milleridge Cottage. If Old Field Club is still in the #1 spot after going there we are going to book it! FH and I are soooo excited to be close to setting the date!!!

eta: I also bid and won on ebay the Mindy Weiss wedding planner!! I'm expecting it by the end of this week..I'm so excited!!

I FINALLY started looking at RH's

I went to Antun's in Queens-wasn't really crazy about it but FH insisted I at least look since it was reasonable; I went to Milleridge Inn-absolutely love it there; Villa Lombardi-fell in love with the hall as well; Melville Marriott umm not too thrilled; and finished the day of with a visit to Verdi's of Westbury. Villa Lombardi was my favorite; and Milleridge came in second. Going to look at Westbury Manor; Jericho Terrace and Floral Terrace tonight!

I even created a nifty wedding reception hall calculator based on amount of guest; price pp; service charge and applicaple taxes. Just helps me look at all the numbers at once (I'm in accounting) so I can compare the prices for the halls I truley love.

I did a spreadsheet to calculate about how much we would spend. Added all the RH we went to see. Now I am keeping a detailed account of all the wedding expenses to see how $$ we are spending on this thing

I finally made some photography appts this week so we are moving along.
