Re: Weight?
I got Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and all you need is a mat and handweights. I have to say, I really see a big difference in my body! I haven't lost a single pound, but have definitely re-shaped and toned, which is what I needed. I would recommend it to anyone!

Re: Weight?
Counting calories works best for me. Myfitnesspal.com or download the app. Keeps you on track & tells you how many calories you can have per day. I incorporate light workouts like walking. Good luck

Re: Weight?
Weight Watchers has always worked for me. Have meals made mostly of veggies & fruits, lean proteins and complex carbs. Try to scale back snack & alcoholic drinks. Aerobic excersise 5 days a week is ideal. You can do it!!

Re: Weight?
I went to a nutritionist and lost weight. Honestly it's all about portion control. She wanted me to weigh anything...but I didn't. When I would do fast food I'd order kids meals or not go. I gave up bread and soda. Water and diet coke as well as Crystal light became my friends. I didn't have seconds and started to put less then I normally would do or half. Planet fitness although not the prettiest $10 a month. Recently saw something on Groupon and LivingSocial. I needed alot to lose but I lost 25 pounds. I'm going to keep going until I lose another 25 lbs!!!
Good luck!!!

Re: Weight?
I lost 10 pounds. I watch what I eat and don't eat late at night. I work nights. So when I am at work I will eat salad or weight watcher dinner. I stop eating when I'm at home at night. I try to eat less. I try to work out everyday. Even if its walking. I got jullian micheals dvd and they are pretty hard and only 25 minutes. Good luck!!!

Re: Weight?
I forgot to add drink lots of water. Green tea is good cause it flushes you out..water weight. This may sound disgusting but having a normal bowel pattern helps. Once a day is ideal but every other is okay.

Re: Weight?
I believe Planet Fitness is $10 and $20 a month w/ a small enrollment fee. No contract so you can cancel at anytime. Its only basic machines. No classes.

Re: Weight?
I had lost 15 lbs. on weight watchers and it wasn't really hard. This is from a person who never successfully dieted before and despises exercise! I'd pick one cheat day on the weekend and actually not count my points and I still lost weight!

Definitely try the myfitnesspal.com you can load the app on your smart phone or use it through your computer.
The Jillian Michaels DVDs are great. Every night my roommate and I have a 'date with Jillian'. Definitely have lost weight using the 30 day shred video. Plus it was like $7 on Amazon!

Agreed! It's really helpful and keeps you accountable. Really helps to log everything and know the calories, protein, etc in the foods you're eating. They have some recipes on there, and I know a lot of girls have good luck with the site, Skinny Taste, which has a bunch of healthy recipes to try. It helps to not be bored eating the same things again and again.
I also agree with the Jillian Michaels girls! I love her dvds, they're challenging and effective. And they're quick, which is always super helpful.

Re: Weight?
My weight yo-yo's..it's annoying! I lost some weight before the holidays, and then put some back on. I'm not stressing over it now b/c there are only 25 days to go! I would be super crank pot if I wasn't eating right now! haha
You have some time, drink water constantly, small portions and I agree with the green tea..

Re: Weight?
I lost 45 pounds 3 years ago - so I can definitely give you some pointers. Walking is great if you do it every day, but doesn't burn a ton of calories, so it's not enough on it's own.
Dieting is good, but if you eat too little, your body will store fat, so you have to be careful.
Definitely don't eat after 8pm (this was one of the major things that helped me). Eat smaller, more frequent meals. If you need a snack, have some fruit. And drinks lots and lots of water.
If you could get in some slightly more intensive cardio, that would also help, like biking, or some light jogging. If you go to the gym, you can put some resistance on the machines like the ellipticals, which help burn more calories. FM if you need any pointers though.

Re: Weight?
You need to read 'Why We Get Fat And What To Do About It' by Gary Taubes. It'll blow your mind! No counting calories and no working out and I'm still losing about 2 lbs per week!
