weight loss & dress fittings

Soo I ordered by dress back in Dec 2009 (size 14 ). I told them at the time that I am probably going to lose weight and they told me it would not be a problem and any alterations would be seamless. So now I am about 2 sizes smaller (and hope to be one additional size smaller by the time the wedding rolls around). My concern is that they wont be able to alter the dress properly.

Has anyone lost a decent amount of weight (20-25lbs) from the day they ordered it to their wedding day? And what was your experience with the dress alterations?

Thanks!

i don't think they'd have a problem bringing it in 2-3 sizes though ... but it really depends on the style of the dress. If they told you it'd be fine, i'm sure it will be

I lost 20 lbs. before the wedding and it was right at the end around fitting time.

Every time I went in the seamstress would remark at how much weight I lost, much to my delight. But she was able to alter it perfectly! Don't worry, those seamstresses work magic!

That makes me feel so much better! Thanks!

I lost 46lbs since I ordered my dress. My only thing is that I ordered my dress a size smaller so I wouldn't have a problem. I can tell you that my dress could have been altered 4 sizes without having to change the look of the dress. You really need to check with the bridal salon and see what they say.
