second- how many lbs do you think equates one inch loss (bust, waist, hips)? Is the difference between dress sizes typically one inch?
Any guesses?
Eta: I kind of want to order a dress a size too small but don't want to chance it if I have to lose like 25 lbs. If it's 10, i think it's doable

Re: Weight Loss Question
oh dress sizes is def not one inch, but it gets smaller w a smaller size...so like a 12 to a 10 is more inches than say a 6 to a 4.

That's what I need to know- 6 to a 4...
I find that if I gain 10-15 lbs, I have to go to an eight. I'm hoping I only have to lose 10-15 to go to a 4. That would be wonderfulll. But I feel like it will have to be more since I'm tall

i think that would so get you into a 4. i know I'm a 6 and weigh about 135. if I was 125, i'd so be a 4.

Re: Weight Loss Question
I would be careful with this. I think that you're better off going bigger than smaller cuz isn't it easier to take in than let out....at least that's what I've heard. They'll let you know when you find it and bout to order it I guess. Good luck!!!

Re: Weight Loss Question
im in the same position...i have til end Nov to pick the size to order. my top half and bottom half are completely different!!! i am hoping to lose a few inches to at least lessen the size difference. the person i am ordering my dress from is hesitant to get a smaller size bc she said it is easier to take in then let out a dress and i see her point. but she said if i come in Nov and am the smaller size she would order it...so its crunch time!!! but i have to say, i am leaning towards getting the larger size bc you never know what can happen. you may anticipate losing weight but its not always that easy. last year i was diagnosed with a thyriod problem and gained about 15 lbs...ive lost 5 of those lbs so far but my dr says weight loss for me is going to be a challenge. you just never know...

Re: Weight Loss Question
2lbs = 1 inch from what i have read- but depending on your body depends on where you lose the inches from first

Re: Weight Loss Question
I thin kit depends on your height. 5 -7 pounds on me (5-2) makes a pull dress size difference.
