weight loss - suggestions wanted

Im looking to join a gym / kick boxing center. im getting married at the end of october and need a pretty intense workout. i have about 8 pounds i want to loose, but mostly i want to get pretty toned up and loose the lub handles. i figure working out is a better idea for me than weight watchers (but i have been watching what i eat and trying to make good choices).

any suggestions? i have the 30 day shred and will do that too, but i find going to a gym and doing a class is a lot better of a motivator.

thanks

I go to Lucille Roberts in Massapequa and take classes about 3-4 times a week. Also, Synergy in Franklin Square has a trainer named Tommy that will give you one h e l l of a workout.

But just a piece of advice - I know you said WW isn't for you. Just remember though, you're not going to lose weight just by working out. You might tone up and lose inches, but you won't really lose weight. The only way to lose real weight is by changing what and how much you eat. In the long run, it really is all about portion control.
