if you are about 15 pounds over your ideal bmi when you get pregnant, it is actual beneficial to the babies growth

Re: Weight Watcher ???
Im having my wedding April 20th 2008 and I am pregnant and due with my 2nd child in Sept. I am going on a crazy diet as soon as this lil guy comes out. I watch what I eat now and I try to make healthy choices but I couldn't imagine doing weight watchers. Counting points while your pregnant I think would Just be ridiculous. As long as she tries to eat healthy and give in to her cravings occasionally she should be ok. I have gained less with with this one so far and im 7months then I did with my first son, but my stomache looks bigger. I think hes a big one. Just tell your friend to eat healthy which isn't always easy. She should try to enjoy her pregnany rather then worry about her weight all the time.

Re: Weight Watcher ???
It's not unhealthy at all!!!!!
They give/tell you to eat an additional amount of points. That way you're eating more and paying attention to what you put in your mouth.
It's actually a good idea.

Re: Weight Watcher ???
I dont know if I would stay on WW during a pregnancy- I think she should check with the doctor- because I imagine (never been pregnant) that you need more calories and servings of foods to help in growth of the baby...jmo

i agree
and why diet when you're pregnant, enjoy it, its the one time you can eat whatever you want and not worry AHHHHHH Im gonna eat pasta everyday i think.
The thing is that when you are pregnant you need to eat when you get hungry and satisify your cravings, its actually not good if you don't do so

07er crashing. I've been a WW forever (well feels like it anyone). I'm pretty sure you have to have a doctor's note and be under doctor's supervision while doing the plan. And I think the plan is adapted, for example, a higher point target. You're really only supposed to be taking in an additional 300 calories a day so I'm sure it's do-able, but I would definitely consult with a doctor first.

you can be on a diet and watchwhat you eat when you are pregnant don't get me wrong. I figured they would just up the points, but what i mean is if you already had all your points for the day and you get a late night craving you should still eat, no matter how late or no matter how many points you had that day. When you're pregnant its a little harder to stay on a schedule

exactly you can't predict how your pregnancy will be...my mom gained about 60 pounds too, she had an intoxicated sac which means the amniotic fluid also gets on the outside so she had morning sickness since the first month, and it wasn't just morning sickness it was morning, noon and night for the whole 9 months, she felt nauseous all the time and the only thing that helped ease it was when she ate.
I would say its better to just eat a little bit healthier...yes eat what you crave bc like i said they say its bad for the baby if you dont satisfy your cravings but also eat grilled chicken, vegetables and things that are healthier, well except fish dont eat too much of that bc of the high mercury content
