Re: weight watchers??

I've had some success. I've lost 6 lbs in 8 weeks, but I know I didn't lose as much as I could have since I haven't always been so good about staying within my points range. Its 20 points per day if you weigh 150lb or under, I don't know the other ones offhand since I don't have my book with me. Probably 150-170 is 22 points. You also have 35 flex points for the whole week, which is just 35 extra points that you can use. Most food items are in the book, and you also get a slider so you can calculate anything not in the book by the calories, fat, and dietary fiber. I lost 30 lbs on the south beach diet, and I'm doing ww for the last bit. I find that ww is nicer because its more balanced eating. But it does go slower than south beach (although maybe that is because I don't have that much more to lose). Good luck!

WW is great. Every time I've stuck with it (it's easy to stick to, actually), I've lost weight. It's a baanced nutrition diet, not a crash/fad diet, so you'll lose 2lbs per week, steadily. Your beginning points are based on weight and then you get books and a points calculator to decide how many points a food is. it's really easier than it sounds and you don't have to give up any foods you love. last time I was on it I lost 15 lbs in 2.5 months and in that time my mom lost 22lbs! Good Luck!

My Mom has been on it for about 5 weeks and she's lost 24 lbs. This is the first time she has tried it and she is really happy with the results so far.

ETA: She bought on ebay a weight watchers calculator for about $15 which she uses to track her points, calculate the value of food and track her weight loss. She loves her little gadget.

I strongly suggest WW for anyone trying to lose some weight. It definitely teaches you how and what to eat. I was able to lose 33 lbs and I have been successful in keeping it off for about a year and a half. Its a great program if you stick to it. Any questions fm me.

Re: weight watchers??

I love it. (I lost a lot before joining weight watchers then couldn't get the rest off. I'm down about 60 pounds overall - 20 which were after I joined weight watchers.)

One word of advice. If you have a lot of weight you want to take off you might need to ease yourself into the system.

It is hard to go from eating a lot to what weight watchers indicates you can eat.

Just writing down everything (and I mean everything, the free samples of muffins, coffee, etc) can help you get used to the idea of tracking your food.

Good luck!
