Re: Weight Watchers
i haven't been on weight watchers, but my mom is (lost 25lbs) and i lost 45lbs two years ago counting calories (same concept ww is based on) and have kept it off no problem. it really it a matter of retraining yourself. here's some hints i learned while doing it:
-as someone ^ said, drink water ALL the time, esp when you think you're hungry. most of the time it is thirst.
-educate yourself. read the back of labels and know how many calories and serving sizes etc are in things. even if you don't count calories it gives you a base average to work off of. this way when you see something that seems harmless and you look on the back and what you thought was 1 serving turns out to be 4 w/ 400cal each, you'll think twice.
-allow yourself to indulge every now and then, but don't go overboard. either find an alternative or have a small piece and really enjoy it.
-get to know what REAL portions actually are and not the humongous portions they serve in resturants, etc. most of those are enough for 3 people.
- you WILL get to a point where you'll stop loosing by just eating better alone. this is when exercise comes in handy (though exercise is always good)
-the easiest way to lose a few lbs? eliminate ALL drinks except water and occasionally plain coffee or tea. you won't believe how many calories you take in through drinks alone - esp ones you buy out. even diet drinks are bad for you.
heh, i dunno if that helped anyone, but i hoped it did. oh, and fitday.com is a great site that lets you set goals, keep track of nutritional intake, exercise, and all sorts of things. very helpful. =0)

Re: Weight Watchers
I weighed in this am, and was upset that I've weighed exactly the same for three weeks. (And I can't exercise much due to surgery). Then I thought to myself...'well, at least I didn't gain.'

That's awesome!
I love WW. I've sidetracked a little since the wedding. My clothes are getting snug. So I need to get back on track. It's great to have so much WW support here!

Re: Weight Watchers
I hear what everyone is saying and then some! I bought my dress on Saturday..eeks..had two good weeks then one bad one and this week wasn't so hot, either, but I'm going to make time to go tomorrow, that's it! Time to get back in the game again, and it's ridiculous...not even just for the dress..let's definitely keep eachother motivated! I go to Bayside, too....
