Weight Watchers

Hi girls...I went to try on dresses yesterday and was SO not happy with what I saw in the mirror LOL. I tried WW on my own before and it worked okay....Does anyone have any tips for WW or losing weight? I can never seem to stay below the points no matter how well I eat LOL

Re: Weight Watchers

I LOVE weight watchers!! It is the easiest diet out there...I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks!

The one thing I noticed is that its alot harder to lose the weight if you dont get go there and get weighed in every week. I tried to do it on my own but I never had the same results. Its alot of money, but it is worth it in the end!

As far as staying below the points, I live on baby carrots and other veggies. Egg whites or sugar free oatmeal are the best low fat breakfasts to me! My new favorite meal is grilling chicken and putting it in one of those low fat wraps with lettuce. Just go to the grocery store with your points finder and you will find things.

One more thing....GREEN TEA!!! I drink it every morning and it might all be in my head, but I swear I lose more weight because of it haha

I second ww! I am down 15 pounds in a little over a month. I eat a lot of egg whites - for breakfast or a low cal snack. Also check out their website, I have picked up so many great recipes from there.

Good Luck!

Re: Weight Watchers

I have never been able to do the weight watchers thing, my life just doesn't lend itself to eating pre-packaged meals and going to meetings and everything. So I have kinda resolved to do it on my own, with some decent success at losing slowly, but more importantly keeping it off. No matter what you choose, though, I reccommend the following article:
http://www.prevention.com/article/0,5778,s1-4-57-279-2208-1,00.html#12

It lists the 100 Smartest Diet Tips ever.

(O yeah, and the Windsor Pilates Circle workout is good too!)

Re: Weight Watchers

I have done weight watchers in the past, and it has worked great. I actually began seeing a nutritionist, who gives me nutrition plans, a b12 shot and appitite supressents. I have lost 30 pounds in two months. This is the first time I have ever lost so much.

ohmy gosh ladies - i usually watch what I eat but now it's time to get serious!

I went out last night and bought all of the food - my sisiter is helping me do it because she has such will power and having her at work with me all day helps because I can't cheat she will see me!

So I will update again when and if I lose anything wish me luck....

Re: Weight Watchers

Im doing the core plan, I lost a lot of weight prior doing south beach, and the core plan has the same principals, yet I still have 35 points for the week to have 'normal' food.

Another thing for me, is I need to do both, exercise and watch what Im eating for it to work, I have been to the gym everyday (spin classes) since Sunday.. soooo hopefully when I weigh in next week, there will be a drop..

Keep us up to date and good luck!!!

Re: Weight Watchers

I was trying to do it off what I used to know about weight watchers. Can you explain it a little how it is now? ITs changed sooooo much. So my set points is 21 a day, that I know from a friends book. Then what? Everyone gets 35 points a week?

Re: Weight Watchers

I was away in AC for 3 days I ate soso, I feel like I gained, I'm home and I can go back to eating right. I'm not going to go to my 2nd meeting because I don't want to know. I want some time to recover so hopefully next week I will loose a pound or two. This is going to be a never ending battle, but I have to fight hard to get some kind of results.

Re: Weight Watchers

Yes. Thats the Flex plan.

You get you daily allowance (21 for you) and then an additional 35 points for the whole week.

Then there is the Core plan. You dont count points on certain foods. You can have as much of these until you feel satisfied..

Fruits and Veggies
eggs
Lean meat
fish
whole grain cereal (one a day)
Brown rice, or potatoes, or whole wheat pasta (one a day)
fat free milk, yogurt
94% fat free popcorn
weight watchers smoothies (one a day)
..and more but thats the gist..

Then an additional 35 flex points a week.
