Re: weight watchers...
I was on it, I signed up online. I did pretty good for awhile. I don't even remember what happened. I think after we got engaged I let go of it for awhile lol. it was my favorite diet though, I should get back on it. the food wasn't to bad.
my good friends sister is doing it, she started around when I did, she lost about 50-70lbs. she kept with it though, and was really strict with her diet. I on the other hand kept drinking regular milk, and sodas.
ww is much easier than south beach, I stayed on that a day lol. if you count points correctly you get to have lil snacks on ww. also the waldbaums in carle place always has sales on the meals, we got like 10 for $10.

Re: weight watchers...
Yes I'm on it........
Yes it works........
I started weight watchers a few years ago and lost 50 lbs. I was the their points system. I got very tired of counting points and due to other stuff happening in my life, I didn't care, so I gained 40 back.
I then took what I learned from weight watchers and did my own thing. I started working out as well. I got to lose 60 lbs!
However I started feeling unmotivated again (doing my own thing)....I saw that I started gaining weight (10 lbs) so I decided to officialyl join Weight Watchers again.
I'm doing the Core Program instead of Flex. Its working out pretty well so far. (I've only been on it for 2 weeks). I don't go to meeting, because I signed up online.
All diets work as long as you do them. The key is to find something that is not just a diet, but a lifestyle change. If you go back to your old ways, you're going to gaing everything back. So far the Core program seems like something I can live with forever.
If you have any questions, feel free to FM me....
Good luck!

Re: weight watchers...
I'm on weight watchers and have been for the past 4 months... I just wrote all about it on the 2007 board! I lost 10lbs and would totally recommend it!
A good website for recipes is hungrygirl.com it gives you the nutritional value for every recipe and the WW point value too!

Re: weight watchers...
I actually just started last night (although this is not the first time I've done ww. In the past, it did work very well, but for some reason after losing 10-15 lbs, I'd stop going (super dumb move), thinking I could do it myself, but it never worked.) Going to the meetings always helped me more for whatever reason. If you need any support, I can try to help! Good luck

Re: weight watchers...
I did do it a few years ago and the first couple of days are hard but its the best diet out there. It really works. I only wanted to lose 10 lbs and I was very successful. i think the trick is the eat a lot of veggies because they are no points (most of them) and once you get used to eating a little different, your lifestyle will change naturally. Good luck!

Re: weight watchers...
I've been on it since January and I've lost 17 pounds so far. I would definitely recommend it. It's really easy to follow the plan and it works!

Re: weight watchers...
I did this a few years ago and lost 38lb. Definetely recommend it. I would do it now, only I honestly have no time for meetings. But WW dose work. Even people who do it half a s s loose weight.

Re: weight watchers...
Been on it since January and am down 18lbs. You do have to be good about it for it to work (like an diet)
The only thing that made me really good was seeing myself in the dress when it came in, you have no idea how motivating that is! terror works :)

Re: weight watchers...
I have been off and on WW for the past 2 years....when I am on it I always lose weight. But once I stop getting weighed in I gradually put the weight back on.
I actually just joined again this week....I am determined to reach my target weight so i dont have to keep paying to get weighed in!!
I was on WW 5 years ago lost 40 and never gained it back. I love WW and I just started again, I love it online it is so easy. I have been going for 4 weeks and lost 4 pounds.

Re: weight watchers...
I joined a few years ago and initially lost 55 lbs... it changed my life. I haven't been too strict on it, and I'd say I put back about 15 lbs in the last two years, but next week, at my 1 yr mark, I am back hardcore. It really works, and if you get a great leader at your meetings it makes all the difference in the world.

Re: weight watchers...
I love WW!!! I started last May and have been following it strictly on and off. I have lost 23 lbs so far! I lost like 17 then maintained a long time while doing it half asssed. Now I am back hard core and have lost 6 more. It's the best plan out there and it is not hard to follow. If you need any advice, let me know.
Weightwatchers.com is a great website for recipes. Just do a search in the search box. Also Aimeesadventures.com is really good! Love the buffalo chicken lasagna... haha!
Good Luck!

Re: weight watchers...
I go to the Lynbrook meetings Thursdays at 7:30pm. I love my leader. I have been to several other meetings there and she is the most motivating and is hysterical. There is a wide age range in the people that come to our meeting time. There are a lot of women in their 20's and 30's though. I believe the leader can make all of the difference.
