Weight Watchers....

Anyone on Weight Watchers? Hoe are you doing it, flex or core? How are you tracking what you eat each day? I was thinking about getting a small notebook to track everything or using those online tools - I am just not sure what has been working for everyone - I want to start off on the right foot. And if you are on WW how did you pick a goal? TIA

im going to start slowly - i just find it so hard to stick to what points are what - and im constantly on the go - im sure flex would be better - i heard that core is mostly home cooked foods...is that right?

well realistically i need to shave off 55-60 lbs - it seems like a big task - but i think that doing it in 5lb incriments might be what has to get done to be realistic...

i would pick a date maybe in 4 weeks to loose 10 pounds. i didn't want to do core since i love variety and want to learn about portions. i really want something i'll stick with and learn about lifestyle changes. there are tons of things to eat for snacks that have 0-1 pts...cut up apples, carrots, cucumbers, oranges...etc. it's getting warmer so these foods will be more appealing!

Core may seem scary and difficult to do but everyone I know who has done core (including myself) lost weight much quicker. My mother and I started the same time at the same weight and I lost more and was able to keep it off while she has struggled a bit on flex.

Also, your first goal on WW is supposed to be 10%.....Don't look past that because for many people the numbers past that seem to far away.

I follow the flex plan and i think its great. I started out writing in the weekly journals but that was annoying. I find the e-tools are much easier. Make sure you always track how many points you've used!

First, concentrate on reaching your 10%. I started WW in January I didnt picked my goal weight until last week. They give you an 'ideal' WW (for example I'm 5'5' so I should be between 120 and 150 lbs. you just pick a goal weight in between that).

Stock up on low point foods:
I love the mini WW cakes and bars which are only 1 point.
Ballpark Turkey hotdogs (1 pt)
Light Ruffles (17 chips=1pt)
All Bran Crackers (9 crackers=1pt)

Eat lots of fruits and veggies!!! Try using the WW bagels and bread- they're lower in points that reg. bread.

Good luck!!

I have been doing WW for over a year. I have lost 31 pounds so far. I do the flex and I track online using E-tools. I love E-tools. It is so easy to track. You just type in what you've eaten and the point value. If you don't know the point value it will calculate it for you.

My advice is stick with it. I have taken many stops on the side of the road. But everytime I go back on program and stick to it I start losing again. Exercise is also a key factor. That's how you lose inches. Good Luck!

i have been on it for 8 weeks and have lost 10 pounds so far ... i know that doesnt sound like alot but it is recommended you lose 1-2 lbs a week. SO I'm right on target. I really didnt think it was going to work but with the online tools and going to meetings I'm actually doing well and would recommend it to others

Re: Weight Watchers....

I did flex and hated it.
It felt like a diet, even thought they tell you it should. Didnt loose anythign in the 5 weeks I was doing it. I did my own version and am down over 15lbs in 3 months.
