Maybe you really don't have 15 lbs to lose? We did it in our office a couple of years ago and a lot of people were trying to lose 15lbs and lost smaller amounts because their body was where it was supposed to be weight-wise.

Re: Weight watchers
are you also exercising, if the other bride is right, then maybe you have more toning to do than losing.

Re: Weight watchers
yes, maybe they are right: try asking your Dr. what your ideal weight is-- try to get to that weight and then maintain and tone. that's what works best for me HTH

Re: Weight watchers
Seriously, this maybe the hardest thing, but if you cut out sugar and carbs for a week, I bet you will lose at least 8 pounds. I did it and lost 13. You go through this odd feeling of withdrawls, but I found it helped to jump start losing a few. I started incorporating healthy carbs back in and so far I have lost 24 pounds!!! I feel like a new person. I am pretyt tall, 5'10, so 24 pounds is not too drastic, but I feel a total change! Try the Ww Core program, it is basically what I am doing.

Re: Weight watchers- not happy
I find that my most successful weeks are when I drink the water, get the milk in and write things down. I definitely think the water and milk products help though. I'm in the same boat as you...I've been on it since NOvember and I've only lost 6 lbs! How pathetic! I needed to lose only 15 too. The meetings help me stay or get back on track though. It's definitely a battle!!

Are you measuring and weighing ALL of your food and writing everything down? I have been to weight watchers for about 3 years now and I havent come across many situations like this without the person not FULLY following the program. Make sure you are following all of the guidelines and drink plenty of water. Good luck.

I may be reiterating everything that you're already doing but definitely write EVERYTHING down. It never fails that I'll be good and diligent and lose a pound a few weeks in a row and then I get lazy and think that I just know how many points I'm eating and wham, it's a gain the next week. And although meetings aren't for everyone, they really do help me to stay on track. I've been going since February and I don't think I've said a single word but I like to hear everyone else's points and advice

I completely agree -- I cut out sugar and carbs completely last week, and I've lost 8 lbs. (a la Atkins). It's the only sure-fire way for me to lose weight.
ETA: Weight Watchers is probably the healthiest way to go for the long term IMO.

8 lbs??!??!?! That's awesome. I'm such a carb nut, I wonder if I could go a week w/o carbs?

Have you thought about taking your measurements? Last time I was on Weight Watchers I only lost 8 pounds but actually went down a whole size from working out.. just a thought...

Re: Weight watchers- not happy
i would LOVE to lose 10lbs by my wedding which is the first week of August but i highly doubt that's going to be happening. I've been so pooped and busy - have not been working out as regularly as i need to. I need to start fittings in 3-4 weeks

Re: Weight watchers- not happy
When I did it, I stocked up on a lot of food that was 0 pts (veggies, pickles, etc) to eat when I got hungry.
Also, I tried to eat the most filling things as per their point value.
Drinking water is good too, sometimes when you think you are hungry, you are actually also thirsty!
ETA: I also kept very busy (unfortunately, shopping was the hobby of choice!)
