Weight Watchers Online?

Hi Ladies, I posted this a while back on the Brides board, and am still curious to see if anyone has tried Weight Watchers online. Due to my hellish hours at work, I cannot make meetings, so I am thinking of joining up online on 12/1. I would like to lose about 20 lbs for my 8/03 wedding. I have been working out 3x week, but am not seeing the type of scale movement I was hoping for. I am hoping WW will help. Any feedback?

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I started going to the gym 3x's a week and lost 3 lbs so far. I don't like the machines so I take the classes (kick-boxing, taebo, etc...) I go to Levittown if you are interested. I do know people who have done weight watchers online and say it's not as productive as actually getting 'weighed-in' at the meetings. I honestly don't know first hand. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Edited to say you have forum mail.

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I started WWonline in October after hearing so many people here and elsewhere talk about WW and how well it works. I didn't really have any desire to go to meetings. In the first couple of weeks I did really well. I am about 1/2 way to my goal of 20 lbs. But, after the first 3 or so weeks, I got a little bad - not journeling all the time and kind of cheating myself (I can't figure out why since I know I'm doing it and it has no effect on my body if I lie and say I only had 2 points when it was really 4 ) I'm not good on the weekends (I try not to over do it but I generally don't really journal on the weekends) and I've not gained any weight back - of course the holidays are coming up! As far as excercise, I'm terrible with that- I'd probably have better and quicker results if I did something once in a while, but, I'm lazy. But, in general, I think WW does work as long as you really make the effort to keep at it.

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

Let's all join Online together!!!!! I always thought the meetings are better, only b/c there's someone there who looks disapproving at you when you cheat. I wanted to do online, but I have no motivation that way. Maybe the brides can inspire each other!!

On the other hand - the holidays are coming up!!!!

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I think I am going to join. I had to keep a food journal when I met w. a nutritionist, and I found that it really made me think before eating something bad, since I had to admit it on paper!

I cannot help but think that I have some kind of bad eating habit, as I eat pretty well, and work out, but am still not seeing much in the way of scale results. It is like I am stuck at this weight. I was thinking that maybe any diet change may kickstart my metabolisim.

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I go to regular WW meetings. But I don't stay for the meetings. Just having someone else weight me is enough to keep me on track! I have lost 56.8 lbs. on WW. I highly recommend it!

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I too wanted to join online but it is so expensive

I used to go to the meetings when I had time but instead I have been just trying to be really good and keep track of what I eat (thats what really works for me). I found an excel spreadsheet on the internet that automatically calculates the points for each of the day (which is esentially what the website would do...)

Id love to spend the money to join but I will try to do it on my own first....if you try it let us know how it is!!

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

Do you know where the spreadsheet is on the internet? I have joined WW multiple times, so I have almost all the books!!! It's such a pain though, to keep track. But it definitely works!!

Re: Weight Watchers Online?

I have been doing WW on my own and have lost 40 pounds! It is easy to do you just have to have the willpower to do it. It is hard to drink all the water they want you to. Now I am trying to lose another 10 pounds to give me the leeway if I gain a few pounds back. I also take an exercise class 2x a week and do a lot of walking.

Weight Watchers

Now that the holidays are over--- is anyone interested in starting together?
I too don't have the time for meetings but have been looking at WW online--problem is I think I need some of the books, guides, etc--
Stacey and those on it--any words of wisdom on getting started?
