Weird comment-how would you have taken it?

I was talking to a female coworker about the gym last night. We were ina deep conversation about the class i took since she was interested in the same one. Male coworker walking by us says to me: I am surprised you are hitting the gym, I think you are curvy in all the right areas.

Ummm-I was at a loss for words and he just kept walking.

Weird and a little creepy, or am i analyzing too much?

Def weird. Is he hot?

There's a guy here who always does things like that, tries to join other people's conversations or eavesdrop. He gives me the creeps.

Ewww, gross!! I wouldn't want to hear that from any of my co-workers (except Kevin, of course!). I would be skeeved out too.

I think he meant it as a compliment but 1) he shouldn't be butting into your convo and 2) it's just not an appropriate comment at the workplace.

seriously - i would just document waht he did - incase his compliments become a habitual problem.

For me, I could let it slide depending on my relationship with that person and how I thought they wanted me to take it. I have a friend who would be at HR in a second.
