ok i kno this is kind of a weird question..but i really need a new job and i was thinking..what do i look to do...now this is nuts but i love..love..love..to clean and organize (im weird i kno!!)...now i dont wanna b like a maid and i want a FT job not PT so can u think of any company that i can work for in regards to like organizing someones life..or home or workspace... personal assistant maybe?? ya know those shows that like organazie someones life??? im grasping at straws for job ideas that im interested in

a personal asst is a good idea, but keep in mind, many people that hire PAs need/ want them to be on call 24-7.

i am def. good at it.. i am the type of person whose house is spotless..i have lists and organize my schedule to a T..i thrive on organization..but cant see myself just starting my own business.. i dont know how id even begin or what id charge...thats y if i found a company or business that already does it, i can go from there ya know

maybe its pathetic but if i get paid well.. i dont mind being on call 24/7 lol..i have no boyfriend..and i have sooo much free time i m going stir crazzy!

My mother's friend does this for a living in South Carolina (my mom sometimes assists on her jobs) ... She's had article on her written in the local papers and a southern magazine.

You have no idea - I have always wanted to do this for new business office and personally for people! It is a great idea,,,, to get started - I would have no idea! Post it in Yankee Trader or something?

My FH does this. There is HUGE need for people who can do this - you would not believe how massively unorganized people can be!!
But I will tell you, it is a competitive market. He started his own business 'Virgo Professional Organizers' and does well. It took awhile to get going - people wanted references and such. He is doing it full time now. He works steadily for 3 different people - has really turned into Personal Assistant type work and he enjoys it. We get benefits from my job, so he is free to freelance for whomever.
Alot of people advertise on Craigslist for it. Also, look into www.anythingdone.com - he gets alot of work from there as well.

How do you do it???? I would hire you but I moved to California. I am constantly trying to get myself organized, but I can't. Every area of my life needs help, the house, my finances, etc.
Is it something you're either born with or can it be learned? Because even if someone hired you to organize their life, that person has to know how to maintain it, right?

i think its a litrle of both...like my mom is the same way and i just saw her always cleaning and being on schedules and being organized so i def. learned that....but i do believe u can train urself... if u want ideas let me know:)
I looked into doing this once for summers b/c I am the same way...ultra organized! I never got it started though! I wonder if I still could just for the summers. Let me know how it works for you!
