Nope, plastic or wooden only on the non-stick stuff.

I cook a lot and I always use either wood or plastic utensils on my non-stick pans. HTH!

Yup, the steel will scratch and ruin the non stick surface
BUT the metal spoons and spatulas are nice when you cook with glassware, eg casserole pans and what not.

Re: weird kitchen utensil question
Silicone, nylon, wood, or bamboo only!!!
Also, no PAM!!!!!!!!
And FYI I just read somewhere that even with lifetime guarantees, some manufacturers will not replace a 'misused' nonstick pan (meaning Pam or similar sprays, or the wrong tools)

That is fine. They might scratch, but the only thing that ruins is the prettiness of the pan. Totally safe!!!

OXO silicone stuff is great. I also looove the bamboo b/c it doesn't stain and it's so easy to clean. oh and it lasts so much longer than the regular wood.
